ABOUT GARY MCPHERSON

Gary McPherson, AKA Stonadge, was born on November 24, 1962, in Golden Grove, the St Mary's Street area of Southampton.

As the only child of a single parent, he relied on his imagination as his best friend. Drawing inspiration from a harsh upbringing, he infused his stories with his experiences of street life.

During his teenage years, he moved to London and was lucky enough to live on the same street as Mick Jones, a member of the Clash. Later, he joined Mick in Big Audio Dynamite II, and together, they co-wrote BAD's best-selling album, The Globe, which sold a few million copies worldwide. This set the band up to do a few world tours with U2, Public Enemy, and Paul Oakenfold.

Gary left the band BAD in 1998 to pursue his career as a DJ, which he found easier than playing the bass. He frequently performed alongside renowned DJs like Paul Oakenfold and others. In 2006, they all went on a tour across America together. Later, Gary founded the Rotten Hill Gang and retired from music in 2020. He has now decided to share his factional account of his life stories with the public.
